After years of working from home and doing home visits Sprouting Families finally has an office space to use for appointments and classes.
And better yet we get to be neighbors with our bestie @Katie Labarge with @truly Chiropractic.
I am officially in my LAST year of midwifery school at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NYC! Graduation is May of 2025. That means that if someone were to fall pregnant after January of 2025 - I just *might* be able to be their midwife! Until then I am not able to do any prenatal appointments, postpartum appointments, newborn check ups, labors or deliveries. For now I will only be seeing clients on a consultant basis stepping fully into my doula role.
I *will* be accepting appointments for:
Cycle wisdom- helping you to map and understand your cycle while also offering advice herbal knowledge for regulating cycles that may be out of sync or any issues that go along with it.
Preconception/fertility- offering advice surrounding nutrition and supplements, as well as, when the optimal time for conception might be or helping families to troubleshoot unique situations.
Lactation support- assistance with latching, supply, pumping and general advice.
Spinning babies- utilizes techniques that encourage babies into the optimal fetal positioning and may ease the discomforts of pregnancy.
Birth class- families can come to learn about pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum.
Sexual education- this class can be done as a group or with individuals. The content can vary and help students to understand the changes a body goes through during puberty. All the way to how to have safe sex. And anything in-between.
Doula & midwife assistants class- personalized instruction on how to become a birth worker in the community.
Currently I am only able to take appointments on Fridays from 6am to 6pm that I am not in Brooklyn for class. Beginning July 12th, 2024!
Please utilize the square scheduling platform in the "schedule now" button above to book your appointment today!
I appreciate your patience as I navigate this new space and system. If you have questions, texting is better than calling so that I can answer during office hours and not be interrupted during class. Thank you so much for sticking with us through all of these exciting changes and updates!
